Using the relatively simple Sahulat Account, investors may invest on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The Sahulat Account offers investors exceptional convenience of account opening, allowing them to register a Sahulat Account by just providing their CNIC/SNIC and immediately begin investing up to Rs. 800,000/-.

This is an ideal account for Pakistani people such as students, housewives, rookie investors, or anyone who wants to invest in the stock market but has been hesitant to do so since the traditional account creation process is time-consuming and requires submission of various documents. The Sahulat Account is available from all regulated Securities Brokers. Additionally, the Sahulat Account may be created online.

Investors do not need to provide any particular documentation of source of income, such as salary slips or bank statements, to open a Sahulat Account. The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has previously released a Notice regarding the account opening process for the Sahulat Account to dispel any uncertainty on the part of Securities Brokers and their customers. Anyone who is considered ‘low risk’ throughout the risk assessment procedure is eligible to create a Sahulat Account. Simplified due diligence measures, such as customer identification verification, may be used by the Securities Broker.

“The Sahulat Account entails an exceptionally simplified and easy procedure of account opening,” said Farrukh H. Khan, MD & CEO of PSX, highlighting the Sahulat Account’s convenience. It has never been easier for consumers to register a brokerage account and profit from participating in the stock market, thanks to recent developments in online account opening and local KYC sharing.”

“The Pakistan Stock Exchange continues to work to expand our reach and make ourselves more accessible to investors, across Pakistan,” he said. The simplicity with which investors may create a Sahulat Account demonstrates PSX’s efforts to not only make the Stock Exchange more accessible to individual investors but also to expand the number of investors. We now rely on our ecosystem members, Securities Brokers, to take advantage of these advancements to facilitate and attract new investors.”
