LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) organizers have officially started the internal preparations for the player draft of the league’s 11th season. According to sources, the draft is anticipated to take place on January 30.

Organizational Efforts Ahead of the Draft

Officials aim to resolve all remaining procedural and administrative matters well before the draft day. This approach is intended to ensure a smooth and efficient drafting process.

Currently, logistics are being arranged, and details about the draft venue as well as the confirmed date will be publicly released once finalized.

Participation and Scheduling

  • All eight franchise owners will participate in the draft.
  • Coaches and authorized team representatives are also expected to be present to assist in player selections.
  • The draft date is strategically planned to coincide with a one-day break in the ongoing Pakistan-Australia T20 International series.

Significant Expansion of the League

The upcoming 11th edition marks a new era for the PSL, as it expands from six to eight teams. The additions include franchises based in Sialkot and Hyderabad, contributing to the league’s growing popularity and reach.
