PM Shehbaz Secures More Investment Assurances From Saudi Arabia

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a busy weekend in Riyadh, where he secured investment assurances from Saudi Arabia and received accolades for his proactive approach.

During his visit for a special meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Prime Minister held separate meetings with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Minister for Investment Khalid Al-Falih, Finance Minister Mohammad Al Jadaan, and Industry Minister Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhourayef.

At a gala dinner hosted by the Saudi Crown Prince, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude for the high-powered delegation sent to Pakistan led by Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah.

He highlighted the importance of ongoing discussions, mentioning the presence of key ministers responsible for investment in his delegation to facilitate follow-up meetings.

Saudi Minister for Investment Khalid Al-Falih commended the Prime Minister as a “man of action,” acknowledging his performance and efficiency. He emphasized shared objectives between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Finance Minister Mohammad Al Jadaan announced that a Saudi investor delegation would soon visit Pakistan, affirming Pakistan’s priority for Saudi investment and continued cooperation in agriculture, information technology, and energy sectors.

In another meeting, the Saudi Minister for Industry expressed interest in collaboration with Pakistan in agriculture, mining, and information technology. He revealed ongoing communication with Saudi private companies regarding investment in Pakistan, with plans for their representatives to visit soon.
