Ayesha Mubarak Ali, a Pakistani visual tech artist, was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Asia this week for merging digital artistic methods and technology to examine subjects such as light pollution, identity politics, and the future of humanity.

Forbes 30 Under 30 is a list of people under the age of 30 issued yearly by Forbes magazine to recognise businesses and industry personalities for their contributions to various industries in North America, Asia, and Europe. Among the various disciplines are art and style, media, sports, consumer technology, health, and social influence.

“I could never have imagined that the path I embarked on in ‘fusion-art’ would lead me to the milestone,” Mubarak wrote on Twitter.

Ayesha Ali was recognised by Forbes for integrating traditional artistic methods with modern technology to examine subjects such as identity politics, light pollution, space applications, and humanity’s destiny.

She is the first Pakistani artist to work with NASA scientists, and her artwork will be carried to the worldwide Space Station via SpaceX for Maleth II in July 2022, according to the worldwide media.

Ali’s fusion-art practice had previously been highlighted in NFT NYC, Forbes Middle East, E27, Hello, and GRAZIA publications.

“Ayesha Ali also joined the Metaverse Fashion Council Advisory Board in June 2022 and has been showcasing her work internationally, including at the Karachi Biennale and the Islington Mill Gallery,” according to the website.

According to her LinkedIn page, the young artist graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi. She is also the co-founder and creative director of MetaVisionaries, a London-based e-learning platform.
