Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan met with Turkish Ambassador Dr. Irfan Nezerağlu in Islamabad to discuss the evolving political and strategic landscape in the region. The meeting highlighted both countries’ shared interests in fostering regional cooperation and strengthening international ties, with a particular focus on the upcoming Kazan Forum, a key platform for regional collaboration and trade.

Minister Abdul Aleem Khan expressed appreciation for the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Turkey, emphasizing the strong bond shared by the two nations. He also highlighted the recent achievements of Pakistan, attributing the country’s successes to the hard work and dedication of the Pakistani armed forces. Khan praised the military’s efforts in ensuring the security of the nation, stating, “Allah Almighty has granted Pakistan success.”

Khan further stressed the importance of promoting regional cooperation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to taking a responsible and proactive role on the international stage. This stance aligns with Pakistan’s aspirations to play an active part in regional security and global diplomacy.

On the other hand, Ambassador Dr. Irfan Nezerağlu congratulated Pakistan on its recent victories, particularly in the face of India’s aggression, praising the country’s defense strategy. He commended the resilience and courage Pakistan has shown in defending its sovereignty, noting that Pakistan’s defense capabilities are robust and continue to evolve. Nezerağlu further emphasized the unparalleled friendship between Turkey and Pakistan, stating, “The friendship between Turkey and Pakistan is unparalleled,” and acknowledging the strong mutual goodwill shared by the peoples of both nations.

The conversation then shifted to the Kazan Forum, with Minister Aleem Khan highlighting Pakistan’s eagerness to use the forum as a means to strengthen international relations and expand trade. Khan noted that Pakistan is eager to invite other nations to join the trade corridors established by the forum, which aims to enhance collaboration in economic, defense, and cultural sectors. The forum is seen as an opportunity for Pakistan to position itself as a key player in regional and global economic cooperation.

In response, Ambassador Nezerağlu assured Pakistan of Turkey’s continued support, especially during challenging times. He emphasized that Turkey stands with Pakistan and would continue to offer its full support for Pakistan’s global endeavors. “We stand with Pakistan and will always lend our support to its endeavors on the global stage,” Nezerağlu stated, reaffirming the enduring partnership between the two countries.
