Pakistan players win gold, bronze medals in Australia Junior Squash

The Pakistani squash team has once again demonstrated its exceptional prowess by clinching both gold and bronze medals in the highly competitive Australia Junior Squash Championship 2024, held at the esteemed Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in Albert Park, Victoria.

Throughout the tournament, the Pakistani players showcased remarkable skill and dominance on the courts, culminating in impressive victories on the final day of the championship.

In the Boys U-13 category, Huzaifa Shahid of Pakistan displayed exceptional talent as he secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Gng Hung Yu of Australia.

Continuing the winning streak, Yahya Khan represented Pakistan with distinction in the U-15 Boys category, triumphing over Henry Kross of Australia with a flawless 3-0 victory.

In the fiercely contested Boys U-17 category, Ibrahim Zeb of Pakistan demonstrated his superiority on the court by securing a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Brodie Bennett of New Zealand.

The Pakistani girls also showcased their exceptional skills and determination on the squash court, with Mahnoor Ali emerging victorious in the Girls U-13 category after defeating Emily Senior of Malaysia with a convincing 3-0 score.

In the Girls U-17 category, Mehwish of Pakistan displayed grit and resilience in a closely contested match against Erin Wyllie of Malaysia, ultimately emerging triumphant with a hard-fought 3-2 victory.

Furthermore, Pakistan’s success extended to the bronze medal category, with Harmas Ali Raja securing bronze in the U11 category, Fawad Khan in the U13 category, and Azaan Ali Khan in the U15 category. These achievements further underscore Pakistan’s dominance and excellence in junior squash at the international level.

Overall, Pakistan’s stellar performance in the Australia Junior Squash Championship 2024 not only highlights the exceptional talent within the team but also reinforces the country’s position as a powerhouse in the sport of squash on the global stage.
