Pakistan has achieved the status of the fifth-largest global producer of sesame, boasting over four hundred million dollars in exports for the current year.
The Ministry of National Food Security and Research highlights that sesame has become a significant cash crop in Pakistan’s agricultural landscape.
This success is attributed to the collective efforts of provincial governments and the Ministry of National Food Security, particularly through the National Oilseeds Enhancement Program funded by the PSDP.
