Numerous developmental projects are inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, to uplift Swat.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday paid a visit to PK-4 District Swat, where he inaugurated four different development projects which have been completed at a total cost of Rs 2.39 billion.

These projects include construction and black topping of Manglawar to Malamjabba Road, establishment of Service Delivery Centre at Charbagh, standardization of Government Girls High Secondary School Manglawar and establishment of Charbagh Rescue Station.

Addressing a public gathering at Manglawar, the chief minister said that uniform development of all the districts of the province was his ultimate target, that’s why he being the chief minister was paying full attention to the development of all the parts of the province. He said that previous chief ministers of the province focused only on their respective constituencies, while at present development activities were underway in all the areas of province including the Newly Merged Tribal Districts.

He made it clear that whatever development activity would be carried out in Swat, it would also be done in the other districts of the province. Mahmood Khan said that he was the chief minister not only of Swat but of the entire province. Highlighting the ongoing development and reforms initiatives in the province, the chief minister said that at present, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was top of the list in all respects.

While responding to the baseless and irrational criticism of the opposition, the chief minister clarified that the politicians who were calling the incumbent government selected, they were themselves selected and incompetent.

He said that in the last two tenures, loans amounting to Rs 23 thousand billion were borrowed, adding that these people have plunged the country into a quagmire of external debts for their personal gains.

Mahmood Khan said that now the Prime Minister Imran Khan repaying the instalments of those debts. He said that if the incumbent government had not to return these loans, the same money would be spent in the welfare of people. He said that although situation was very tough at the movement but our leader Imran Khan was working to bring the country out of this situation.

He said that “Naya Pakistan Card” was going to be launched to provide relief to common man in the current inflation which would be a comprehensive package of various types of relief.

He further said that if needed, the provincial government would spend Rs 100 billion from the development budget of the next fiscal year for providing relief to the people on food items.

Mahmood Khan said that incumbent government was taking result oriented steps to develop these areas by promoting tourism activities adding that as a result of measures taken by the provincial government, 2.5 million domestic and foreign tourists visited the tourist’s destinations of the province in the last season which was undoubtedly a great achievement.

Federal Minister Murad Saeed, MNA Salim-ur-Rahman, MPA Azizullah Green and other also addressed on the occasion.
