7.6 Million Registered, 7.71 Million Tokens Redeemed: Fuel Relief Scheme Update

DPM Ishaq Dar reviews the PM's Special Fuel Relief Scheme, with 7.6 million registrations and 7.71 million tokens redeemed so far.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stressed the need for continued coordination to facilitate beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's Special Fuel Relief Scheme and ensure smooth service delivery across the country. He chaired a meeting of the National Steering Committee on Fuel Subsidy in Islamabad to review implementation of the scheme.
The Numbers So Far
The Committee reviewed progress on registration, token redemption, payments, and complaint management. It was informed that around 7.6 million registrations have been successfully made, with the token redemption process now in its second week and 7.71 million tokens redeemed to date.
Crediting a Coordinated Approach
Dar appreciated the scheme's success, calling it a reflection of a "whole of Government" approach, crediting the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Petroleum, OGRA, State Bank of Pakistan, and all provinces for their concerted efforts.
