Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed optimism about Pakistan’s economic outlook on Wednesday, highlighting the recent decline in inflation as a sign of improvement in the national economy. During a meeting with members of the Punjab Assembly in Lahore, Nawaz Sharif, alongside Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, discussed the country’s overall situation, development initiatives in Punjab, and ongoing projects.

Economic Stabilisation and Decline in Inflation

Nawaz Sharif emphasised that the reduction in inflation is a clear indicator that Pakistan’s economy is stabilising and moving away from the downward trajectory it had previously faced. “The decline in inflation points to economic stabilisation,” he remarked, adding that this is a welcoming development for the nation’s future. His comments reflect a sense of confidence in the current economic policies and their impact on the country’s financial health.

The former prime minister also pointed to the recent rise in the stock exchange as evidence of growing confidence among the business and investment communities. This, he noted, is a strong indicator of a positive shift in the economic landscape, suggesting that Pakistan is on the path to recovery after facing significant challenges in recent years.

Praise for Maryam Nawaz’s Leadership

During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif lauded Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her exceptional leadership and dedication to public service. He stated that she goes beyond her role as the chief minister, serving the people of Punjab with the spirit of both a mother and a daughter. “Maryam Nawaz is serving the people of Punjab with immense dedication, driven by her motherly love and passion for public welfare,” he remarked.

Nawaz Sharif’s praise for Maryam Nawaz underscores her growing influence and effectiveness as a leader in Punjab. Her efforts to drive development initiatives and improve governance in the province have been widely acknowledged, and her leadership style has resonated with many.

Shehbaz Sharif’s Focus on Federal Governance

Nawaz Sharif also highlighted the efforts of his brother, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in improving the performance of the federal government. He stated that Shehbaz Sharif is focused on ensuring that the government works diligently for the people, with the guidance of Allah. “Shehbaz Sharif is focused on improving the federal government’s performance and ensuring that Allah’s guidance is with those who work diligently for the people,” he added.

This statement reflects the PML-N’s commitment to governance and public service, as well as the party’s emphasis on unity and collaboration among its leaders.

Development Efforts Across the Country

Nawaz Sharif noted that the increasing pace of development efforts across Pakistan is a strong indicator of a positive shift in the country’s trajectory. He expressed confidence that these efforts will lead to sustained economic growth and improved living standards for the people. His remarks suggest that the PML-N is focused on delivering tangible results and addressing the challenges faced by the nation.

Conclusion

Nawaz Sharif’s optimism about Pakistan’s economic recovery, coupled with his praise for Maryam Nawaz’s leadership and Shehbaz Sharif’s governance, highlights the PML-N’s commitment to steering the country toward stability and prosperity. The decline in inflation, rise in the stock exchange, and ongoing development initiatives are seen as positive signs of progress. As Pakistan navigates its economic challenges, the PML-N’s leadership remains focused on delivering results and ensuring a brighter future for the nation.
