Cement prices in Pakistan have risen slightly in the last week, according to statistics from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

The price of one cement bag in the northern regions was Rs1,208, a 0.16% increase over the previous week’s price of Rs1,206.

Prices in the south followed a similar pattern, with an average of Rs1,168 per bag, up 0.30% from the previous week’s Rs1,164.

Regional breakdown of prices

  • Rawalpindi: Rs1,199 per bag
  • Gujranwala: Rs1,200 per bag
  • Sialkot: Rs1,210 per bag
  • Lahore: Rs1,240 per bag
  • Islamabad: Rs1,198 per bag
  • Faisalabad: Rs1,200 per bag
  • Sargodha: Rs1,190 per bag
  • Multan: Rs1,214 per bag
  • Bahawalpur: Rs1,237 per bag
  • Peshawar: Rs1,200 per bag
  • Bannu: Rs1,200 per bag
  • Karachi: Rs1,144 per bag

  • Sukkur: Rs1,200 per bag
  • Larkana: Rs1,173 per bag
  • Quetta: Rs1,170 per bag
  • Khuzdar: Rs1,170 per bag

These cement price fluctuations are important because they affect construction projects and housing costs.

As the building sector continues to play an important role in Pakistan’s economic growth, it is critical to monitor how these prices evolve in the next weeks and their possible impact on the construction environment.
