CENTCOM says the US will pay up to $20 million, plus possible relocation, for information on Iran’s nuclear facilities, equipment and scientists.
The United States has offered a reward of up to $20 million for information on Iran’s nuclear program, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in a post on X. The reward is offered through the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program, and relocation may also be offered.
What Information Is Sought
The offer covers details about Iran’s nuclear program, including its facilities, equipment and associated personnel such as scientists. No specific parameters were given for what information would qualify. The program was established in 1984.
State Department Statement
The State Department said Iran’s non-compliance with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards has caused the agency to lose “continuity of knowledge” about Iran’s centrifuge production and inventory.
Trump’s Remarks
US President Donald Trump, speaking in West Palm Beach, Florida, said Iran wants “to make a deal very badly.” He also said the United States had struck Iran before and claimed Iran’s economy and military had been severely damaged.
Iran’s Position
No direct Iranian response to the reward was reported. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Tuesday that his government was still trying to resolve the crisis through dialogue.
