The price of 24-karat gold reached a historic high in Pakistan, surging by Rs. 2,900 to hit Rs. 289,600 per tola on Friday, as reported by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association. This marks a significant increase from the previous trading day’s rate of Rs. 286,700.
Today’s spike propelled gold past its previous record of Rs. 287,900 per tola, registered at the end of October last year. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 2,486, reaching Rs. 248,285 from Rs. 247,799. The price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also climbed to Rs. 227,603, up from Rs. 225,323.
The silver market followed a similar trend, with the price per tola rising by Rs. 31 to Rs. 3,432, and the price of 10 grams increasing by Rs. 27 to Rs. 2,942.
In the international market, gold prices also witnessed an increase, rising by $29 to reach $2,772 per ounce from $2,743.
This surge in gold prices underscores growing market trends and investor demand, setting new benchmarks for the precious metal in both domestic and global markets.
