Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin has directed the Ministry of National Food Security (NFS) to ensure smooth pulses supply and reserves. And to consider its lowest prices in the international market.
He was chairing a meeting of the National Price Monitoring Committee in Islamabad on January 12.
He advised the Ministry and provincial governments to take creative measures to ensure a smooth supply of pulses at fair prices.
The Minister highlighted the efforts to keep the prices of essential items in check. And measures to ensure a smooth supply of essential commodities throughout the country.
“Prices of 22 items remained stable and 25 items registered an increase in prices during last week,” said the informer.
