LONDON: Pakistani actor and producer Fahad Mustafa was celebrated at a historic event in the House of Commons, where he was presented with two prestigious accolades: the Diversity Impact Award and the Cultural Impact Award. The ceremony, hosted by Multicultural UK, recognized his exceptional contributions to global entertainment and cultural diplomacy.

The Diversity Impact Award was bestowed upon Mustafa for his outstanding work in drama and storytelling, which has connected diverse communities and inspired audiences worldwide. Meanwhile, the Cultural Impact Award highlighted his efforts in promoting diversity and fostering cross-cultural connections through media.

The event, attended by prominent figures from British Pakistani communities, business, media, and sports, was hosted by MP Naz Shah, Afzal Khan MP, and Communities Minister Lord Wajid Khan.

Shazana Raja, Director of Multicultural UK, praised Mustafa for his groundbreaking achievements, particularly the success of his drama “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum,” which has garnered over 1 billion views globally. She remarked, “Fahad Mustafa’s ability to captivate global audiences has drawn comparisons to Hollywood icons like Ryan Reynolds and Idris Elba, showcasing his charisma, versatility, and global appeal.”

Ehan Rajah, Managing Director of Multicultural UK, emphasized the significance of the occasion, stating, “This event is more than just a celebration of individual success. It marks the growing influence of South Asian talent in reshaping the global entertainment landscape.”

In his acceptance speech, Mustafa expressed gratitude to the organizers and parliamentarians, saying, “These awards are a testament to the achievements of Pakistan’s entertainment industry on the global stage. I am deeply humbled and honored to be recognized in such a prestigious setting.”

The ceremony highlighted the power of South Asian representation and underscored the critical role of cultural narratives in bridging communities worldwide.
