After a temporary suspension, UAE airline Emirates has resumed services to Pakistan’s three major cities namely Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. However, passengers shall only be allowed on board if they carry along a not more than 96-hour old negative Covid-19 report, from an approved laboratory. They shall be allowed to and from travels, only if they meet the requirements of their destination, as quoted by an Emirates spokesperson.

From June 24, Emirates had temporarily suspended passenger services from Pakistan up to the 3rd of July. This was basically as a result of 30 Pakistanis travelling to Hong Kong via Emirates, having tested positive for Covid-19.  Of these 30, some had symptoms of fever and cough while others were asymptomatic. The reports now required to be on board must be conducted at the Emirates authorized Health Center, at the passenger’s own expense.
