China-Pakistan welcome third-party participation in CPEC development

China has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with Pakistan to advance all CPEC projects in a secure, efficient, and high-quality manner for the benefit of the two nations and their citizens.

Zhao Lijian, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, stated at his daily briefing in Beijing that China is prepared to implement the significant agreement made by the presidents of the two countries in this respect.

He stated that China and Pakistan have come to an understanding regarding involving third parties in CPEC and enhancing communications among media and think tanks, including working together with third parties on already established schemes and extending CPEC projects to Afghanistan.

In the meanwhile, the third meeting of the CPEC Joint Working Group on International Cooperation focused on high-quality development of CPEC, according to a tweet from Pakistan’s ambassador to China, Moin-ul-Haque.
