Employees of Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) demonstrated on Tuesday against the outsourcing of the country’s three major airports.

According to information, staff of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spoke out against airport outsourcing. In this background, the CAA’s union and officer association organized a protest at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Union members and officers at Allama Iqbal International Airport wore black bands to protest outsourcing. Employees have declared that they will not allow airports to be outsourced under any circumstances.

According to the officer association, outsourcing airports is hazardous to national security and defence.

The federal government has decided to outsource the management of three major airports, which has sparked outrage among CAA personnel.

Earlier this month, Railways and Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique paid a visit to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore.

The minister updated the prime minister on the status of outsourcing and PIA reforms to improve airport services.
