ChatGPT has introduced a dedicated integration with Apple Music, allowing users to explore music and create playlists using artificial intelligence. The new feature is available across iOS, macOS, and the web, making music discovery more interactive and seamless within the ChatGPT experience.
Users can add Apple Music to ChatGPT by navigating to the Settings section on the Mac app, website, or iOS app. Under the “Apps” option, Apple Music appears as an available service, which can be connected by signing in with an Apple Account to authorize access.
Once connected, Apple Music becomes accessible within ChatGPT through the “+” button. Any playlists, albums, or music suggestions generated by ChatGPT can be opened directly in the Apple Music app, providing a smooth transition from discovery to listening.
According to OpenAI, the integration allows ChatGPT to search the Apple Music catalog for songs, artists, albums, and playlists. This functionality is available even to users who do not have an Apple Music subscription, enabling broader access to music discovery.
All users can discover new music, generate AI-curated playlists, and listen to preview clips directly within ChatGPT. However, full song playback and advanced library features remain exclusive to Apple Music subscribers.
Subscribers benefit from additional capabilities, including the ability to add songs, albums, and playlists suggested by ChatGPT directly to their Apple Music Library. This feature enhances personalized music curation and simplifies playlist creation using AI assistance.
The integration reflects OpenAI’s broader push to expand ChatGPT’s ecosystem through third-party app connections, offering users richer, more practical experiences powered by artificial intelligence.
