Star Pakistani batter Babar Azam and newly appointed ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi have dropped in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Rankings, while several of their teammates have made notable gains following recent international matches.

Babar Azam slipped from fourth to fifth place with 728 rating points, as India’s Shubman Gill fell to fourth and New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell moved up to third. Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan climbed one spot to 23rd, and opener Fakhar Zaman also rose to 26th.

Middle-order batter Salman Ali Agha recorded a major jump, moving nine places up to 30th after his strong performance against South Africa in the series opener. Imam-ul-Haq dropped one place to 42nd, while young opener Saim Ayub maintained his 53rd position with 509 points.

At the top, India’s Rohit Sharma remains the world’s No. 1 ODI batter, followed by Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran in second place.

In the bowling rankings, Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi slipped one spot to 15th with 587 points, while Naseem Shah made a significant leap of 10 places to 33rd. Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed climbed to 37th, and Mohammad Nawaz improved his position to 69th.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to dominate the ODI bowling charts, maintaining his No. 1 spot ahead of South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj. England’s Jofra Archer has moved into third place, pushing Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana down to fourth.

The latest rankings highlight an ongoing reshuffle in the global ODI standings, reflecting recent performances ahead of key international fixtures.
