At the third and decisive T20 International of the series, played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan delivered an emphatic performance to defeat the South Africa national cricket team by four wickets and secure the series 2-1.
Shaheen Shah Afridi set the tone early, ripping through the South African batting lineup with figures of 3-26. He struck twice in the first over, dismissing key batters and reducing the visitors to 0-2 within three balls—establishing Pakistan’s dominance from the start. South Africa was eventually restricted to 139 for 9 after a determined but ultimately undermined effort.
Babar Azam then anchored Pakistan’s chase with a mature 68-run innings off 47 balls, featuring nine boundaries. His composed knock helped steady the host side amid early setbacks and guided them home with an over to spare.
Pakistan’s win was underpinned by tight bowling, timely partnerships, and resilient batting—qualities that had been tested earlier in the series. With this victory, Pakistan picked up back-to-back wins to clinch the series after having lost the opening game by a significant margin.
The performance sends a strong message about Pakistan’s ability to fight under pressure and execute in key moments—thanks to standout players like Afridi and Babar stepping up precisely when needed.
