LAHORE: Pakistan has made history by launching Pakistan Today English News, the world’s first fully AI-powered English news channel, under the umbrella of Discover Pakistan, a pioneer in infotainment and media innovation.
This groundbreaking channel features an entirely AI-generated team—anchors, reporters, analysts, programme hosts, and even AI-driven production crews—delivering round-the-clock news with accuracy, impartiality, and global reach. It is equipped with a live AI translation feature that enables broadcasting in over 40 languages, making it accessible to audiences worldwide.
Leveraging deep learning and advanced natural language processing (NLP), the channel’s AI presenters replicate human speech patterns, tone, expressions, and emotional nuances with remarkable authenticity. According to Discover Pakistan, these capabilities allow the network to deliver content that feels both engaging and natural.
With its main studio based in London, Pakistan Today English News will be broadcast globally via satellite and digital platforms. Its AI system sources and verifies real-time news from vetted international outlets to ensure factual and unbiased reporting.
CEO Dr. Rafiq emphasised that the goal is not to replace human journalists but to redefine news gathering and delivery.
“By using artificial intelligence, we ensure consistent, fact-based news delivery, allowing human journalists to focus on investigative reporting and analysis,” he stated.
This launch coincided with Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations, with the national flag proudly waving on Google’s homepage as a tribute to the occasion.
