Sher Afzal Marwat speaks out after his PTI expulsion! He questions whether Imran Khan was truly behind the decision and hints at internal party politics. What’s next for the outspoken MNA?

MNA Sher Afzal Marwat has spoken out for the first time since his expulsion from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressing skepticism over the decision and questioning whether it truly came from party founder Imran Khan.

In an interview with Samaa TV on Thursday, Marwat stated that he was withholding his stance on the matter for the time being but firmly believed that Imran Khan had not personally made the decision to remove him.

“I am deferring my stance regarding the party for now. PTI founder Imran Khan has not made the decision to expel me. Some specific individuals who have access to Imran Khan are behind this move,” he asserted.

Dismissing the notion that Khan himself had taken such action, Marwat emphasized, “The PTI founder cannot make such decisions.”

He further alleged that the party played an undue role in his case, stating, “If there is a dispute between parties, the political party does not become a party itself. However, in my case, PTI was involved from the very beginning.”

PTI’s Decision and Future Steps

Reports earlier suggested that PTI’s founder had instructed senior party leaders to revoke Marwat’s basic membership, with a formal notification of his expulsion expected soon.

Following the revocation of his party membership, Marwat may also be asked to resign from his National Assembly seat, according to party sources.
