Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Dubai on Tuesday on the sidelines of the World Government Summit.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the recent visit of the DP World delegation to Pakistan, highlighting its role in fostering meaningful investment collaborations between the two sides. He emphasized that such partnerships would further strengthen trade relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Prime Minister lauded DP World’s contribution to enhancing Pakistan’s trade and logistics infrastructure. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expediting the implementation of intergovernmental agreements signed with DP World.

He informed the DP World Chairman that Pakistan, through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), has streamlined investment procedures, making them more transparent and investor-friendly. He highlighted Pakistan’s strategic location as an attractive opportunity for DP World to expand its operations, referencing the success of projects like Jebel Ali Port.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s support in strengthening bilateral cooperation. He reiterated DP World’s commitment to ensuring the timely completion of ongoing projects and exploring new areas of collaboration.

He also briefed the Prime Minister about the allocation of a dedicated exhibition hall in the UAE to showcase Pakistani products. This initiative, he noted, would enhance market access and increase the visibility of Pakistani goods in the UAE.

Welcoming this initiative, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed optimism about the growing trade and investment ties between Pakistan and DP World.
