President Awards Rs100 Million to Shahzaib Khan for Winning World Karate Combat Championship

President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday congratulated Shahzaib Khan on his remarkable victory in the World Karate Combat Championship, held in Singapore. In recognition of his achievement, the President presented Shahzaib with a cheque worth Rs100 million during a special ceremony attended by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, as per a press release from the President’s Secretariat.

The President lauded Shahzaib for bringing pride to the nation through his outstanding performance and expressed hope that he would continue to achieve further success in the future. He also highlighted the immense potential of the youth in Balochistan, noting that they possess great talent that needs to be nurtured through proper opportunities.

President Zardari emphasized the importance of encouraging young athletes to excel in sports and make the nation proud on international platforms.

Shahzaib Khan secured the prestigious title of ‘Karate Combat World Lightweight Champion’ after defeating six opponents in the championship. Upon his return to Pakistan, the athlete was welcomed at the Chief Minister’s House, where CM Bugti personally congratulated him and assured him of the government’s continued support for his future endeavors.
