Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) serve as a reminder, inspiring humanity to resist falsehood and oppression and reaffirming a commitment to truth on Youm-e-Ashur.

In his message for Youm-e-Ashur, the Prime Minister underscored the profound significance of the occasion. He highlighted the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions at Karbala, showcasing the eternal strength of truth over falsehood.

The Prime Minister stressed that the events of Youm-e-Ashur resonate deeply with in believers, reminding them of the sacrifices made for truth and justice. Imam Hussain’s (RA) courageous stand against Yazid’s oppressive rule in Karbala is a testament to his unwavering perseverance.

Quoting the Holy Qur’an, the Prime Minister said, “Do not think of those who have been killed in the way of Allah as dead. They are alive with their Lord, receiving provision” (Surah Al-Imran, 3:169). This verse encapsulates the essence of the sacrifices made by Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.

He also drew parallels with contemporary struggles, noting the hardships and sacrifices of the people of Palestine and the residents of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who endure oppression for just causes.

Highlighting Pakistan’s current economic challenges, the Prime Minister called for patience, unity, and brotherhood in these trying times. He warned against the divisive forces of Yazidism, urging society to rise above differences and foster qualities like selflessness, equality, tolerance, unity, and discipline.

Prime Minister Sharif urged everyone to draw inspiration from the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, encouraging bravery and steadfastness in adversity. He expressed hope that Allah Almighty would empower the nation to follow Imam Hussain’s example, advance Islam and Pakistan, and overcome all forms of hardship and adversity.
