In a thrilling showdown at Karate Combat 45 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan emerged victorious over India with a narrow 2-1 triumph, led by their captain Shahzaib Rindh.

The tension-packed battle reached its climax in the final round, with Pakistan’s Rizwan Ali securing a win over India’s Pawan Gupta in the opening match. Ali’s swift takedown left Gupta knocked out in the first round, giving Pakistan an early lead of 1-0.

However, India fought back fiercely in the second round as Himanshu Kaushik managed to defeat Faizan Khan, who substituted for Uloomi Karim due to a weight discrepancy. This leveled the score to 1-1, setting the stage for a decisive final round.

In a gripping finale, Pakistan’s captain Shahzaib Rindh faced off against India’s Rana Singh. Rindh’s relentless assault from the outset cornered his opponent, ultimately leading to a technical knockout victory.

After the match, Rindh displayed a gesture of peace by raising both Pakistani and Indian flags in the ring, emphasizing unity between the two nations.

“This fight was a symbol of peace. We are not adversaries, we stand together,” remarked Rindh, echoing the spirit of sportsmanship.

With this win, Rindh extended his unbeaten record in Karate Combat to 5-0. He had previously made headlines in February by securing the fastest knockout in Karate Combat history, stunning his opponent in just 21 seconds during Karate Combat 44 in Mexico City.

Notably, Rindh had stirred controversy earlier when a video surfaced showing him slapping Rana during a press conference on Friday. The incident quickly spread on social media, adding an extra layer of anticipation to their on-stage clash.

“How was the slap, bro?” Rindh quipped after their intense showdown.
