Pacer Mohammed Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim are slated to join the 29-member Pakistani squad at the Kakul training camp in Abbottabad, established in collaboration with the Pakistan Army.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the training camp, which the 29 players are expected to attend starting today, will kick off on March 26 (Tuesday) and run until April 8. The primary focus of the camp is to foster team cohesion and enhance the physical and mental resilience of the players, ensuring they are well-prepared to tackle upcoming challenges. Experienced trainers and coaches will oversee the players’ tailored training programs aimed at improving their fitness levels, agility, leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and overall on-field performance.
This announcement follows closely after the Pakistan Cricket Board revealed a revamped national selection committee comprising seven members.
The selection committee includes former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, and Asad Shafiq, along with the head coach, captain, and an analyst.
