The interim federal government in Pakistan has announced new fuel and diesel prices. The federal government has opted to maintain the existing petrol price, but a noteworthy reduction of Rs7 per litre has been declared for diesel, along with decreases of Rs3.82 on kerosene oil and Rs4.52 on light-speed diesel (LSD).

In a decision made on November 15, the interim federal government had already implemented reductions in petrol and diesel prices. The revised figures reflected a reduction of Rs2.04 per litre for petrol, Rs6.47 per litre for diesel, Rs6.05 per litre for kerosene oil, and Rs9.01 per litre for light-speed diesel (LSD).

The updated prices now stand at Rs281.34 per litre for petrol, Rs296.71 for diesel, Rs204.98 for kerosene oil, and Rs180.45 for light-speed diesel (LSD).

Notably, in mid-October, Pakistan witnessed a substantial cut in petrol prices by Rs40 per litre. As per the prior notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on October 15, the petrol rate was set at Rs283.38 per litre after a significant reduction.

Moreover, the high-speed diesel (HSD) price saw a reduction of Rs15 per litre, settling at Rs303.18, while kerosene oil experienced a decrease of Rs22.43 per litre, reaching Rs214.85.

It’s worth mentioning that the petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged for 15 days starting from November 1, as per the previous notification issued.
