Russia invites Pakistan to the trilateral consultations meeting for Afghanistan peace settlements to be held on 18th March in Moscow. Therefore, Russian news agency TASS claimed that Russia’s presidential envoy to Afghanistan Zamir Kablov said that the United States, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Taliban are being invited in trilateral consultations for peace settlements in Afghanistan.
Mr. Kablov confirmed that “It is not even a conference, it is consultations of the expanded trio: Russia, the US, China and Pakistan. Yes, we have invited [Afghan] government representatives, Afghan statesmen and the Taliban delegation as well.”
Moreover, Mr Kabulov had discussed Moscow’s meeting during his visit in Pakistan on Feb 19.
Alternatively, Pakistan had decided to join the meeting and support the Russian efforts for reconciliation and peace settlements in Afghanistan.
