There will be two Ramadans and two Eid ul-Fitrs in 2030

Muslims fervently await the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan. Currently, Ramadan 2024 is approaching. However, the excitement is expected to soar to new heights in 2030 as Ramadan is anticipated to occur twice in that year.

The initial Ramadan spell in 2030 is scheduled from January 6th to February 4th, followed by a second spell from December 26th, 2030, to January 24th, 2031. Experiencing two Ramadan months within a single calendar year is a rare and extraordinary event that is sure to enhance the joy within the Muslim community.

This unusual occurrence is a result of the Islamic calendar following the lunar cycle, as opposed to the Gregorian calendar, which adheres to the solar cycle. A lunar year comprises 354 days, shorter than the 365 days of a solar year. Consequently, Islamic months, including Ramadan, gradually shift backward through the Gregorian calendar.

This lunar cycle phenomenon leads to a fascinating observation in 2030, where Ramadan will manifest twice. This presents the Muslim community with the unique opportunity for spiritual reflection, fasting, and engaging in sacred practices during two distinct Ramadan spells within the same calendar year.

As Muslims eagerly anticipate this rare and spiritually significant event, may both instances of Ramadan in 2030 bring profound blessings, peace, and fulfillment to all those observing this sacred time.
