Pakistan completed a successful training launch of the Ghauri weapon system on Thursday to test the operational and technical readiness of the Army Strategic Forces Command, according to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
According to the army’s media wing, the launch was seen by the Commander of Army Strategic Force Command (ASFC), top officials from strategic forces, and strategic organization scientists and engineers.
According to the ISPR, the commander ASFC appreciated the Army Strategic Forces’ standard of training and operational readiness, as evidenced by proficient handling of weapon systems in the field and achievement of operational and technical objectives.
He also praised scientists and engineers for their contributions to improving Pakistan’s strategic capability.
President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the CJCSC, and service commanders congratulated the troops, scientists, and engineers who took part in the training launch.
The Ghauri test launch comes just a week after Pakistan completed a successful test flight of the Ababeel Weapon System, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, the test flight was intended to re-validate many design, technical parameters, and performance evaluations of various weapon system subsystems.
“The missile system was aimed at strengthening deterrence and enhancing strategic stability in the region through the operationalization of Full Spectrum Deterrence in the overall construct of Credible Minimum Deterrence,” according to the statement.
