The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a health update on injured pacers Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, and Ihsanullah stating that they will require rehabilitation.

Naseem underwent shoulder surgery and Ihsanullah had elbow surgery, while Hasnain requires ankle rehabilitation, according to a press release from the board on Monday

It is important to note that the fast bowling department of the Green Shirts has been hit hard by a string of injuries, leading to a significant setback in the national team’s bowling strength during the ongoing 2023 World Cup.

Naseem Shah

The 20-year-old fast bowler sustained an injury to a muscle just below his bowling shoulder during the 46th over of Pakistan’s second match against India at the Asia Cup 2023 last month. It is not a recurrent injury from any previous shoulder injuries.

The PCB announced that the pacer had successful shoulder surgery last week, and he was discharged the following day after remaining stable.

Naseem will receive rehabilitation with two physiotherapists, both at the training ground and in the gym, according to the board’s decision.

He will be under continuous monitoring and is scheduled to see the doctor who operated on him during the third week of October.

Ihsanullah

The right-arm pacer, who debuted in one-day international cricket against New Zealand earlier this year, has been ruled out of further matches due to an elbow injury.

The fast bowler had surgery in Lahore in early September, with a doctor flown in from England to perform the operation.

After the surgery, the fast bowler was required to wear an elbow brace for four weeks while receiving daily attention from a doctor and physio.

It is important to note that Multan Sultans’ emerging star was named “Player of Pakistan Super League 8 (PSL)”

Mohammad Hasnain

The right-arm fast bowler suffered an ankle injury while playing in the Sri Lankan Premier League in August He went to England for an MRI scan, which revealed that he needs rehabilitation for his injury.

According to the board, Hasnain has been undergoing the rehabilitation process since September 13.
