The National Apex Committee has agreed in principle to remove foreigners who are illegally residing in Pakistan.

Terror attacks have recently increased in Pakistan, especially in Mastung and Hangu.

The decision was made at an Apex committee meeting presided over by Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.

COAS General Asim Munir, the chief ministers of four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan all attended the meeting, which was presided over by the caretaker premier.

The conference was also attended by high-ranking security officers. According to sources, security personnel briefed attendees on recent terror occurrences in Pakistan.

The group was also updated on the actions being done in Pakistan to combat terrorism and action against illegal immigration.

According to sources, the meeting decided to set a deadline for the return of foreigners illegally living in Pakistan, after which their property will be taken.

The military’s media wing, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir underlined on Saturday that Pakistan’s armed forces’ campaign against terrorists will continue unabated and that they will not rest until the threat of terrorism is eradicated from the country.

The Army Chief made these remarks during his visit to Quetta today, where he was briefed on recent terrorist incidents in Mastung and Zhob, according to Inter-Services Public Relations.

Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Chief Minister Balochistan, major provincial ministries, and senior civil and military personnel also attended the meeting.

COAS Munir paid rich tribute to the sacrifices and incidents on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
