More women should join workforce after completing education: President

President Dr. Arif Alvi, during his address at the convocation of Foundation University in Islamabad, emphasized the crucial need for greater female participation in the workforce following their completion of education. He underscored that it is the responsibility of the state to ensure that women are provided with protection against harassment, fostering a safe and conducive environment for them to pursue their careers.

Additionally, President Arif Alvi drew attention to the alarming statistic that approximately twenty million children in Pakistan are currently deprived of access to education. In response to this pressing issue, he called upon all segments of society to collaborate in tackling this challenge, highlighting the importance of concerted efforts to promote education and eradicate illiteracy.

Furthermore, President Alvi recognized the nation’s demand for graduates across various fields, including medicine and engineering. However, he emphasized the need to create ample opportunities for these graduates within Pakistan to prevent a “brain drain” scenario, where skilled professionals seek employment abroad. This underscores the importance of fostering an environment that encourages and supports the retention of talent within the country, ultimately contributing to its growth and development.
