According to a press release released yesterday by the ISPR media wing, Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), our junior leaders are the backbone of the Pakistan Army and are critical to success in conventional and unconventional warfare.

“When compared to any modern army in the world, our standard of professionalism and leadership is unrivalled.” “Pakistan Army junior leaders have proven their mettle in the fields of training, operations, and world-class competitions all over the world,” the COAS remarked while speaking to the Junior Leadership Academy Shinkiari.

The Junior Leadership Academy Shinkiari is a training centre for non-commissioned officers. The Army Chief also laid a floral wreath at Yadgaar-e-Shuhada and addressed the Academy participants.

When the COAS arrived, he was greeted by Inspector General Training and Evaluation. Later, the Army Chief travelled to Barotha to attend the opening ceremony of the Multi-national Special Forces Exercise “Eternal Brotherhood-II,” which was held at the Barotha Garrison.

The ISPR said that special forces contingents from Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Turkey, and Uzbekistan are taking part in the two-week drill. The Chief of Army Staff interacted with the exercise participants on this occasion.

General Officer Commanding Special Service Group informed the Army Chief on the scope and conduct of the exercise.

The exercise aims to further leverage the friendly countries’ historic military-to-military relations, including the nurturing of the joint employment concept, while identifying areas of mutual interest for future military collaborations and benefiting from each other’s counter-terrorism experience.
