Sindh govt announces Rs1 million aid for Hazara Express victims’ families

The Sindh government offered an Rs1 million aid package for Hazara Express victims’ families on Monday to help them through this trying period.

On Sunday afternoon, the Hazara Express derailed near Nawabshah, killing over 30 people and injuring 50 more.

Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh, extended his profound condolences to the families of those who died in the unfortunate tragedy.

In response to the disaster, the Sindh government has set aside Rs1 million in aid to assist mourning relatives of the deceased.

Furthermore, the government has provided assistance to injured passengers who are currently undergoing medical treatment.

Those injured in the accident would be compensated in amounts ranging from Rs200,000 to Rs500,000, depending on the severity of their injuries.

Murad Ali Shah also informed the public that the Pakistan Railway would conduct an extensive investigation into the accident’s cause.

The government is determined to discover the causes of the disaster and to take proper actions to prevent similar catastrophes in the future.

He went on to say that the government’s main priority during this catastrophe was to rescue and save as many people as possible.
