On Saturday, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will lay the groundwork for the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stated today that the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone will attract $5 billion in investment and create around 100,000 job opportunities in its first phase.

According to the chief minister, the initiative will provide economic progress and prosperity through collaboration between the government and private stakeholders.

The Dhabeji Special Economic Zone is Pakistan’s greatest economic endeavor. With easy access to nearby Port Qasim for raw materials and other imports, the project will save money and time.

“Moreover, easy access to Karachi airport will ensure safe travel for foreign businessmen and administration,” Shah explained.

“The project, with easy access to the National Highway, will ensure transportation of cargo to upcountry as well as central Asian countries,” the chief minister stated.

“The special economic zone has been designed for economic development, foreign investment, and the promotion of local industries,” Shah explained.

The construction of the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone site will begin today.

Investors who establish their businesses within this zone will be entitled for a 10-year tax exemption and will be able to import machinery for business purposes duty-free.

It is a China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project that will play an important role in the country’s economy.
