Indonesia is likewise a most popular destination in Asia for visitors due to its gorgeous beaches, architectural marvels, rich cultural experiences, and outstanding cuisines.

The Indonesian government has developed an e-visa system that eliminates the inconveniences for individuals planning to visit the nation, and in this post, we will tell you what documents you will need and whether you are eligible for the e-visa.

There are two types of tourist e-visas available for foreign tourists to Indonesia, depending on the length of their stay.

On-arrival e-visa for Indonesia (B213)

Visitors can stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days with this visa. It is also possible to obtain a 30-day extension of visa validity. The main disadvantage of this visa is that it cannot be converted into any other type of visa.

Single-entry e-visa for tourism in Indonesia (211A)

This visa is good for travelers who wish to completely immerse themselves in Indonesian culture because it permits a lengthier stay, up to a maximum of 60 days.

The disadvantage of this visa is that it cannot be extended beyond the initial 60-day period, however, it can be converted into other visa kinds if necessary. You can visit family or friends, visit the nation for tourism, and attend meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions as an attendee with this visa, but you cannot attend events as a speaker.

Just log on to the Molina website and select the type of sight. Submit the relevant papers after filling out the information. You must also pay the price, and once it is completed, you will receive your e-VOA confirmation. Take a print of it and show it to an immigration officer at the entry point to obtain a visa sticker, according to Wigo.

Single-entry e-visa for tourism in Indonesia (211A)

Navigate to the Molina website and select the type of visa you require. Then you must create an account, enter your information, and submit it. If the e-visa is authorized, you will receive it through email after submitting the needed documents and paying.

The following are the rates for Indonesia e-visas based on category:

  • Indonesia e-visa on arrival costs IDR 500,000 (USD 33).
  • Single-entry e-visa for Indonesia tourists – IDR 1,500,000 (USD 100)

Payment can be made with a Mastercard, Visa, or JCB credit/debit card.

How long is the Indonesia e-visa valid?

The e-visa on arrival and the tourism single-entry e-visa will both be valid for 90 days from the date of issuing. It is worth noting that the visa’s validity differs from the term of stay, which is 30 days for e-visa on arrival and 60 days for tourist single-entry e-visa.

e-visa extension for Indonesia

Foreign visitors can extend their e-visa on arrival for another 30 days by using the Molina portal and following the procedures.

It should be noted that this extension can only be used once. To avoid penalties, it is required to leave the country before the extended visa’s expiration date.

Another option is to go directly to the immigration website and enter your application number to check the status of your visa.
