The Fata University Phase 1 was opened on Tuesday by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at a cost of Rs1.5 billion.
The PML-N’s previous government from 2013 to 2018 set the groundwork for this university.
When the prime minister arrived at the Governor’s House in Peshawar, he was greeted by the governor and interim chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Following meetings with tribal elders and elected members from combined communities, he proposed changing the name of the Fata University. He also gave out laptop computers to children from across the province who were chosen on merit.
Later, speaking at this event, Sharif stated that 100,000 computers are being dispersed across the country simply on merit.
In discussing the country’s terrible economic circumstances, he emphasised the importance of learning from history. He stated that now is the time to shape the country’s destiny with speedy efforts in agriculture, information technology, minerals, exports, and other sectors.
According to the prime minister, the government is working on a scheme to harness agricultural power as a game changer for the Pakistani economy.
In the presence of the prime minister, the KP Police presented the office holders/merit scholars with a guard of honor.
