Dr. Javed Akram, caretaker Punjab Health Minister, denied media allegations of health card closures in private hospitals on Saturday.
Dr. Javed Akram stresses that health cards will not be revoked, nor will cardiology services be restricted. He explained that their goal is to ensure that the advantages of health cards reach the intended recipients.
Dr. Javed Akram stated that cardiology services via health cards will continue in all government hospitals in Punjab. He claimed that the Punjab government intends to sign a new contract with State Life Insurance Company to improve the provision of services to the people of Punjab via health cards.
