A Chinese company indicated an interest in establishing an electric vehicle manufacturing unit in Sindh during a meeting with provincial officials, according to The News.
On Wednesday, a group from China Power met with Sindh Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon at the Archives Complex in Karachi.
Qasim Naveed Qamar, special assistant to the chief minister, Managing Director Sindh Mass Transit Authority Kamal Dayo, Cheng Qiang, a representative from China Power, Umar Adil Jaffer, and others attended the meeting.
Memon enthusiastically welcomed the company’s decision to develop the factory and guaranteed his full support in its efforts.
He highlighted that the government was still committed to assisting investors and business owners. He stated that the government was willing to supply businessmen with land and grant subsidies as part of its attempts to facilitate their endeavors.
The transport minister emphasised that establishing a plant in Sindh would be beneficial to both the country and its people. He stressed that it would provide new job opportunities, contributing to the nation’s economic progress and prosperity.
