The Angoor Adda highway in Pakistan’s southern Waziristan tribal territory has been designated as a transit route for shipments to Afghanistan.

On the proposal of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), the federal government decided to include Angoor Adda as an Export Land Route to Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Trade and Commerce modified its Export Policy Order after receiving approval from the federal government.

The allowed export routes to Afghanistan are Chaman, Torkham, Ghulam Khan, Qamaroddin, Kharlachi, and Karez.

According to sources, Pakistan’s shipments to Afghanistan fell dramatically on a month-to-month basis in April.

According to the information, shipments to Afghanistan decreased by 25.54 percent year on year in April.

Exports to Afghanistan remained at $76.4 million in April 2023, compared to $11.40 million in the same corresponding time last year. In April 2023, the volume of bilateral commerce between Islamabad and Kabul remained $125 million.
