During its upcoming meeting, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will decide the destiny of the Asia-Africa Cup. If allowed, cricket fans would be able to see the intriguing combo of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli in the same team in June of this year. The Asia-Africa Cup is a prominent tournament that brings the best players from Asian and African countries together.
The competition, which began in 2005, was canceled after its second edition in 2007. However, a proposal has emerged to resurrect the competition and stage its third edition this year.
The final decision on the tournament’s resumption will be made at the future ACC meeting. According to reports, ACC President Jay Shah is fully equipped to organise the Asia-Africa Cup.
