According to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the country was founded as a result of political and constitutional conflict, and its future depends on upholding the constitution in both law and spirit.

“I am convinced that Pakistan will rise to great heights. The prime minister delivered the following remarks on Pakistan Day, which was commemorated on Thursday.

“But, for this to become a reality, we have to build unity in our ranks, equip ourselves with national purpose, and promise to fight a struggle in line with the legacy of our forebears,” he said.

According to the prime minister, the 23rd of March was a defining moment in their country’s history that served as a reminder of their past, an invitation to reflect on the existing situation, and inspired them to build a prosperous future.

He said that even as they commemorate Pakistan Day and honor the sacrifices of their founding fathers, they shouldn’t lose sight of the problems they are currently facing.

“The inability to agree on game rules and the state of the economy are the two biggest challenges. The failure of our economy to grow sustainably is explained by the political context, the prime minister was cited as saying by the PM Office Media Wing in a news release. He emphasized that “today is also the day to renew our pledge.”

The energetic leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the prime minister remarked, led the Muslims of the subcontinent to ratify a resolution in 1940 calling for the construction of a distinct nation they could call their own.

He continued that Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s dream of liberation came true in the form of a resolution that reflected Muslims’ demands and aspirations for a distinct state.

The subsequent seven years, according to the prime minister, saw history being made as the Quaid-i-Azam waged an unrelenting battle to bring Iqbal’s dream to life. Pakistan’s founding was unquestionably a miracle of the 20th century.

“During the course of our 75-year journey, we have faced numerous crises, from wars to natural disasters. On numerous times, we beat the odds and hit significant milestones, he continued.

“Let us use this day to introspect and hold ourselves to account. Only those nations that are capable of analyzing their past, learning from their mistakes, and making amends can achieve true glory,” he added.

The prime minister claimed that as a member of the international community, Pakistan had contributed as a responsible nation to the eradication of world conflict and the resolving of human problems.
