There will be no load-shedding during Sehr and Iftar in Ramadan and the requirement for minimal load-shedding over the approaching summer has been issued by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The concerned authorities have been ordered by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to make sure that all power sector projects and the country’s solarization are completed within the allotted time.

Today in Islamabad, he presided over a high-level conference to examine the status of power sector projects and policies to ensure that consumers have an uninterrupted supply of electricity over the summer. He also gave the order to speed up the solarization of government buildings.

The prime minister demanded departmental action against individuals at fault for carelessness after expressing disappointment over the delay in constructing the 500KV Thar-Matiari transmission line. He recommended reconstituting the National Transmission and Dispatch Board.

Energy conservation policies should be promoted through a media campaign and by being incorporated into the curriculum of schools and universities, according to PM Sharif. He sent orders to all the provinces to make sure that energy-saving measures were strictly implemented.
