According to sources, players from Pakistan are currently permitted to compete in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) through February 8.

However, the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) only applies to individuals who will not be participating in the next exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

The players have been requested to leave on February 2, the day before the exhibition match on February 5. Prior to the PSL 8 starting in Multan, on February 2, all players had been instructed to return home. According to the PCB, it has recalled the players who would compete in the PSL 8 at the franchises’ request.

Top national T20 team players like Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Naseem Shah are all competing in the BPL 2023.

The PSL 8 opening ceremony will take place in Multan on February 13 before the tournament’s first match between the 2021 champions Multan Sultans and the defending champions Lahore Qalandars; the PSL 8 closing ceremony and final will be held in Lahore on March 19, which will also host the play-offs. Lahore Qalandars will try to become the first team to win consecutive championships, while Islamabad United will try to make history by winning the trophy three times. Rawalpindi will stage 11 fixtures, Karachi and Lahore will host nine matches each, whereas Multan will have five home games.
