Shahid Khan Afridi, a former Test cricketer, and his to-be son-in-law Shaheen Afridi hosted the Pakistani squad for dinner.
After the series against New Zealand ended on Friday, Shahid, the nation’s interim chief selector, invited Pakistan’s Test and ODI squads. Afridis is seen wishing the cricketers from Pakistan well in a video posted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
In Karachi, Pakistan will now face New Zealand in three ODIs. On January 9, 11, and 13, the games will be held at National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA).
On Sunday, there will be practise for both teams there. Babar Azam and Kane Williamson, the two captains, will also present the ODI series trophy tomorrow.
