The unconditional apology from the UK newspaper Daily Mail, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is a victory for Pakistanis in general and for the destitute mothers and children who benefited from the aid money that was intended for them in particular.

On Monday, he stated during a news conference in Islamabad that the PTI’s campaign to defame the Sharif family was so cruel that the PTI didn’t even bother to consider the dignity of the nation.

The Prime Minister claimed that this malicious effort hurt Pakistan as well since it fostered doubt about foreign help.

He claimed that Shehbaz Sharif and his children were involved in the laundering of 600 million pounds that the DFID provided to Punjab between 2008 and 2018.

Contrary to what he claimed, the money was used openly, and after I gave the newspaper legal notice, the case dragged on for three years until an unqualified apology was offered.

The four years of PTI’s rule, according to Shehbaz Sharif, were marked by political victimization.

He claimed that the coalition, which is led by the PML-N, had maintained the national interest above party interest and prevented default.

The 1800 billion rupee Kissan Package, according to the prime minister, is one example of how we have tried to provide relief to the underprivileged.

He continued by saying that the government is making a lot of effort to help the flood victims, which is a difficult task.

He rejected any threats of the country’s default.

Replying to a question, the Prime Minister said the coalition government is making every possible effort to provide relief to the people.

To another question about the Chaman border firing, he said he will soon call a meeting to discuss the Afghan issue.

He said Afghanistan is our brotherly country and we have called upon them to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.

Briefing the newsmen on the economic situation of the country, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said PTI destroyed the economy but we are trying to put it back on track.

He said there is no threat of the country going to default.
