Barmy Army reaches Pakistan after 17 years for historic Test series

After a 17-year hiatus, the famed England cricket fan group Barmy Army traveled to Pakistan to see the historic Test series between England and Pakistan.

The next test of the historic series, the Rawalpindi Test, which will start on December 1, will be the first for the English team on Pakistani soil in 17 years.

One of the most well-known cricket fan clubs, England’s Barmy Army, has arrived in the nation to see the historic Test between into Test teams.

Taking to Twitter, Barmy Army announced their arrival with a tweet, ā€œCheck our bio for a new location.ā€

As a result, the Barmy Army relocated to Pakistan from England.

Barmy Army had earlier been amused by the enthusiastic response from Pakistan supporters as “Welcome to Pakistan” started to trend after their tweet “Assalam-o-Alaikum.”

Later, Barmy Army tweeted to express its appreciation for the nation’s enthusiastic support of cricket.

“Wow, this is wonderful. We tweet “Assalam-o-alaikum” at 9:04 a.m. “Welcome to Pakistan is trending on Twitter two hours later,” said Barmy Army.

It is pertinent to mention that England and Pakistan will lock horns in a three-match Test series from December 1 to 21. Besides Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi will host the remaining two Tests respectively.
